The character女nǚ

 last time ,we talk about the character 男nán(man; male),today,we just talk about the character 女nǚ(woman,female)

do u know the meaning ? Yes ,a woman, bent her head and she’s not sit there, but on her knees, that’s because in  old China, women have very little status in old China, and the men thought women should obedient to their husbands .also , women always do some housework on their knees. So the old people use the picture that a woman bent her head and on her knees to express the meaning of woman.  we have many characters are related to 女nǚ, we’ll talk about them next time.
