Note
[1]保重 is used when you will not see someone for a long time. For example, if your friend will be working in another country for more than a year, you may tell him 你多保重。 or simply 你保重。 which literally means "to maintain your weight". But it actually means within this period of being away, you should take good care of yourself. 慢走, on the other hand, is more casual than 保重. When your guests or the company’s guests are about to leave, you can say 慢走(啊) as an informal way for farewell and is a polite phrase to tell the guests to take care or watch out on their way.
A: I prepared a small gift for you, please accept it.
B:多谢,多谢。
B: Duō xiè, duō xiè.
B: Thank you so much.
Note
[2]In China, when a guest in your home or company is leaving, as a host you will normally walk with him/her for some distance. Please note that if he or she is a close friend or relative this gesture is not necessary. After you walk some way with him , the guest may say 就送到这儿吧,您请留步。 留步 literally means "to leave your footsteps here" and 就送到这儿吧。 is to say you don’t need to go any further. At this time, if you also think it is an appropriate place to stop you can say 好,那我就不远送了。 meaning "okay, in that case I won’t walk you any further".
